We are all tourists, in this fairground of life. Most people sticking to the path and following the directions given. Thing is there are also people like us who like to take the scenic route, off the beaten track...The Lost Tourists.
We came across The Lost Tourists photographic portfolio by chance, whilst sifting through Instagram messages we found a link they'd sent to an article about IBD. On inspecting their profile of images, it became clear they were more than tourists, more documenters of abandon space, breathing life into the lost. The duo from Cambridge dabble in both photography and film, discovering derelict leftovers and clambering over the odd fence, to discover places forgotten, left to decay and become modern day ruins. Urban exploring has become an adrenalin fuelled pastime, for many who dare trespass beyond the 'No Entry' signs the thrill of capturing a moment of abandonment is the ultimate buzz. As they quote "Buy the ticket, take the ride" - (Hunter S. Thompson).
"We are 'The Lost Tourists' we like going out and getting lost with our cameras."
